Popped rib

by Diane
(Hemet, CA)

Exactly! It went pop and pop when using a foam roller on my side. Hurt very bad! Hard to breath, but I think it put my ribs back in place. After over a week still a little place hurt, thought I would not roll but just lie on it and it did another double pop, which I jumped at too quick. Hurt again, but then next day felt pretty good,
Decided not to ever do that again, jury still out on what I did to myself, but I had been having side/rib pain for months!
Decided to just roll on my foam roller on my butt which I had been doing even with the rib pop. But this time just crossing my leg over the other a bit it pop popped again and this time it hurt to sleep which I had been fortunate both times before to not disturb my sleep. Okay I am staying off the roller til healed. The article was helpful with explaining what happened to me.
Still the initial pop got rid of one long time major pain!

Actually I cant imagine going to a chiropractor and letting anyone touch it. The 2nd time it popped, later in the evening I just barely gently touched it and it started really hurting!!

Thanks for the article!

Oka-a-ay....

Sounds really obscure. Probably a good chiro or an osteopath could sort out what's going on.

Nobody should be going around in pain for months.

Depending on how old you are and what other stuff you have going on, there's also the possibility that your bones have gotten fragile. Not necessarily, but .... just sayin'...
